We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant with expertise in Cardiovascular Surgery!

This position is a Locum assignment, offering the opportunity to work in Maine for 3-6 months to start with an option to extend!

This is a full continuum of care position with both OR/ICU duties.

The candidate will work four 10-12 hour days per week if assigned to the OR and three 12-13 hour shifts if assigned to the ICU.

· The ICU does include overnights in house.

· The provider will have a 1 in 4 or 5 weekend responsibility. (On call from 6p Friday to 6a Monday)

· Surgical call responsibility: 1-2 week days per week from 6P-6A.  

· Provider must be able to act independently in the OR, harvest veins, and operate in a high acuity ICU setting.

Details:

· Volume of Cardiac Surgery Division: 7 adult surgeons and 32 APPs; 1,600 pump cases are handled per year; Perform all cardiac surgery procedures except transplant 

· Candidate working at one/multiple locations/settings:  one location only

· Number of residents/fellows: None

· Credentialing Estimate: Immediately and would push for emergency credentials
