If I don't see a job that I want can I still submitt my resume?

Yes, Palm Careers is always looking for great candidates to fill positions around the country. If you submit your resume we will review it and place it on file until the position you are looking for comes along.

How long does it take to start the process?

Usually the process starts right away. As soon as Palm Careers has your resume and you’re a good fit, we will present you to the hiring manager. The next step usually results in a phone interview. We work diligently to get you placed in your dream job as fast as we can.

I graduate next year; should I begin my job search now?

Plan accordingly, give yourself plenty of time, and keep in mind that it could take longer than average in areas where the economy is still down or the demand is low for professionals with your qualifications.  We recommend you begin your search at least 4 months prior to completion of your degree.

My spouse was recently promoted and is being transferred to California. I am a pediatrician. Since I know the city we are moving to, is it better if I just contact potential employers directly or should I go through a recruiter?

Yes, we are often asked to be involved in helping facilitate the negotiation process on behalf of the client and the professional. Many professionals find that it is uncomfortable to directly negotiate with a prospective employer, but they want to be sure they are being compensated fairly. We are happy to assist with this process.

What kind of orientation will I get?

Orientations are unique to each client setting. Some orientations are web-based while others are in person and include areas like: facility layout and access procedures, clinical process, EMR systems and safety protocols.
